So the questline is bugged? I use the free title stone from GG and get 'The Past is Bitter' from it, so the quest didnt appear when I went to the crossroad and I never get the tome to continue to the next title

The quest line is bugged atm and you cannot receive the Master of Balance title.
We have to wait for a fix with next patch.
