Territory Wars (TW) Guide

What is Territory Wars?
Perfect World International is broken up into 51 different territories that can be captured by factions. The 51 territories are broken up into three levels. There are two level 1 territories, six level 2 territories, and the rest are level 3.
Attacking a territory can be done though Territory Wars, an event open every week for factions to bid on territories and attempt to seize them. An attack on an empty territory results in a Territory War of 3 hours to kill 300 monsters, including bosses, while an attack on an already occupied territory results in a 3 hour war against the faction that owns it.
Press M then click on Territory can see the Territories that’s currently occupied.
If you click View All, then you will be able to see the current TW Fight schedule, once the bidding is over.
These slots are exactly filled up in order left to right and top to bottom. All TWs for a single faction are scheduled before scheduling of the TWs for another faction is calculated.
What determines which faction gets scheduled first isn't always clear but it seems as if the faction with the greatest number of defends has its scheduling calculated first.
The TWs on a factions territory are first ordered left to right and top to bottom (like reading a page from a book) and then segregated into groups of 3. Each battle begins 1 minute apart, to prevent multiple battles from starting at the same time.
Update V96: Territory Wars will now happen in two timezones - wars happening over the territories on the left side of the map will take place at 9 AM server time, while wars happening over the territories on the right side of the map will take place at 7 PM server time. Holding Territory War territories will now give Badge of War rewards - 20 (Level 3); 30 (Level 2); 50 (Level 1)

How to bid for Territory Wars?
The Guildmaster can declare war at the "Battle Coordinator NPC" in any of the six cities.
131 859 (38), 440 871 (27), 248 650 (26), 585 684 (22), 314 412 (22), 651 373 (28), 374 238 (24)
Speak with your local Battle Coordinator between Wednesday 7:00pm and Thursday 7:00pm (server time) to place a bid. You only get to bid once and you cannot see what other guilds have bid, so if you are unsure then it would be safest to bid high.
Maximum bid is 200,000,000 coins =99 Big Notes

When are the bidding times?
Wednesday 19:00 and Thursday 19:00 (server time)

How can I bid on a City?
Cities are a level 2 Territory, except Thousand Streams and Archosaur they are level 1 Territory, where as others are level 3.
In order to declare war on a Tier 2 territory, you must already own at least two Tier 3 territories and at least one of your territories must be directly adjacent to it.
In order to declare war on a Tier 1 territory, you must already own at least three territories and at least one of your territories must be directly adjacent to it.
Example:

How do I enter Territory Wars?
You enter the instance from any teleporter or city officer, by selecting the Enter Instance option, and then the land in which TW is taking place. Your land will be flashing to make it easier to find.

Territory Wars Map
The map reveals yourself, your squad mates, and your faction members close to you.

Territory Wars Tower:
Guard tower attributes and cost:
500,000 gold coins with a 30 second build time
5,000,000 health points
100,000 physical defenses
100,000 magical defenses
Can not be re-built once destroyed.
It regenerates to full health in 20 minutes.

There are three types of guard tower: Rapid, Binding, Burst.

Rapid Fire Tower
Range of aggression = 40 meters
Range of attack = 30 meters
Damage = Player level x 25
Attack speed = 1.5 seconds
Effect = Single target damage

Binding Tower
Range of aggression = 40 meters
Range of attack = 30 meters
Damage = Player level x 25
Attack speed = 6.0 seconds
Damages radius = 5 meters
Effect = 4 seconds stun, AOE

Burst Tower
Range of aggression = 40 meters
Range of attack = 30 meters
Damage = Player level x 25
Attack speed = 3.0 seconds
Damages radius = 5 meters
Effect = AOE Damage

Each Tower throws out a debuff which stacks that doubles incoming damage.

Waypoint:
There are teleporting points at some places in the TW map, teleports players only.
You may bind yourself to a totem pole shaped teleporter, so that when you die, you can go into the red portal with swords next to it, to get back to the point you binded yourself to.
If the waypoint is broken, you won't be able to teleport there.

Guard Tower:
If you get to close to a enemy’s Guard Tower, its a instant one shot. (Except on this server, think it’s a two shot)

Territory Wars Crystal:
The Crystal attributes:
24,000,000 health points
100,000 physical defense
100,000 magical defense

Destroying the crystal is the main objective in Territory War. It can be damaged by players and catapults, with catapults being the better options as they deal significantly more damage.
Debuffs affect the crystal as well.

Territory Wars Catapult:
Cost = 20.000
Moving speed = 6m/second
Range of aggression = 30 meters
Range of attack = 30 meters
Damage = 100,000
Attack speed = 3 seconds
Priority of attack = guard tower and the crystal
Priority of attack between targets = nearest target

Catapults are the main offensive weapons used in the Territory War and can be found near the portal in front of the revival point. This location also serves as their starting point. To drive a catapult, a catapult scroll is needed. It can be purchased from the Battlefield Advisor, which can be found left from spawn point in TW instance. For catapullers, it is important to know that the catapult will take priority in the closest NPC target, be it Crystal, Tower or mystic/venomancer pet. This is where positioning the catapult becomes crucial. It will not attack players.

Be careful of the distance you have with your catapult.
The middle right of your screen will be a range indicator. Green, Yellow, Red.
Once you see the range indicator gone or the red dot above your head disappear, you have lost your catapult. You have to go back and find the catapult and rebind to it using another catapult scroll. Be quick, the timer will start and the catapult HP will drop. Once it reaches 0, the catapult explodes and you have to go back to base and wait for it to respawn.

TW Battle:
TW session can host a maximum of 80 vs 80 players (defenders in blue and attackers in red).
TW session is a showcase of teamwork, skill and cooperation.
TW session is a place players lose their cool and start doing silly things they normally don't
Chi is set to zero once a user enters the battleground.

The embrace function is disabled while in the battleground.

You can jump, use riding mounts, and fly.

There is no experience penalty from being killed by monsters in a Neutral Territory War.

Anyone who quits or leaves their guild will be instantly ejected from the battleground.

In order to participate in your guild's Territory War, you must be a member of your guild for at least 100 hours prior to the war (4days, and 4 hours).
Two guilds are situated on map on opposite corners. The attacking guild wear the red color and the defending guild blue. Each guild has a crystal inside their base that can be destroyed. There are three routes between both bases.
Both the attacking and defending guilds can control catapults and build different types of towers for defense.
Depending on the Territory level, an increasing number of catapults are given to the attacking faction.
Level 1 Territory : Attacking Faction has 8 catapults to the defenders 4 catapults.
Level 2 Territory : Attacking Faction has 6 catapults to the defenders 4 catapults.
Level 3 Territory : Both attacking and defending factions have 4 catapults, giving no side an advantage.
The Territory War is over once the crystal inside one guild's base has been destroyed, or time has run out.

TW Faction Strategies/Planning:
Squad Formations:
Catapult Squad (4 cata pullers, healers, CC)
Barbs (Subs, Seeker/BM) as catapullers
Sage veno/BM for lock support

Attack Squad (DD, Healer)
Clear the way for the cata squad to set up near the crystal/towers
Protect cata squad

Defense Squad (Mage DD, healer)
Kill enemies incoming attacks
Cleric Squad (sins, archers)
Snipe all healers

Attack Strategies:
What are the best ways to throw you enemy off guard?
Numbers? Fancy Strategy artwork? Fake plays?

Classic B Lane Rush:
Basically all Squads except Defense move down B lane.
Archers or sins kill towers being built unsuspectingly.
Just wipe everything and avoid towers. Head straight into the base.
If the enemy can’t fight that over, then it’s already a win for you.

A/C Lane:
These lanes curve around to the side of the map then back to the center.
These lanes are the longest route. However, easy to hide or stray away from unwanted attention.
Your DD’s stay mid and distract the enemy.
Slowly dwindle down the crystal hp, then issue a full faction attack.

Defense Strategies:
All the heavy magic damage dealers you have come to play.
Make sure your scouts are on point and meet the enemy mid way down the lane and vaporize them.
By the time they reach your base just one person is left or two if lucky.
A lot of purging, debuffs and AA has to be on point.

Scouting:

Having a dead scout at this position is ideal.
Knows how many catapults are in base or DD, and knows what gate people leave from.
Having live scouts on each lane checking is good as well. They are closer and can actually inform who are there, then the lead can plot a countermeasure.
I prefer sins for ideal scouts.

Squad Leads:
Very crucial.
Appoint people that know how to call commands efficiently.
Assist Attack, team positioning, keep faction lead updated and call for help.
A weak mind can be easily broken.

TIPS:
Set up a TW Roster a week or a few days before your planned TW.
TW regroup a hour before the scheduled time. Form Squads and walk your faction over the plan or enemy threat.
Make sure everyone has pots, auto pot activated, morai pills, runes, and blessings.
Do not use group stealth or psy Spirit Phalanx skill/ Veil of Shadow on catapullers it makes them lose the catapult.

Any positive feedback is welcomed. If anything I missed, then please let me know.
