Well, most of the time dilemma is between adding some Vit, or put all to Str.
Fortunately, it's easy to restat here, because Reset Notes are cheap at God's Giving.

I would recommend just enough Dex for Gear, everything else to Str,
and Vit stones in gear will give you enough Vit.
But my Barb is not one of the top Barbs on the server. Experiment.

Vit gives Def and HP, Str gives Def and attack. I believe in PvP is important
to kill faster.
More HP means not much if you lose it easier. Little less HP that you lose slower is
easier to heal if you use pots. And there's no explicite rule to forbid it. Only if you
go 1v1 and agree in advance to not use pots.
