A simple suggestion

Not sure if this has been brought up but I was wondering if it was possible to change the colors of the dots in the mini-map. For instance, can we have all factions members have the same color like blue? It'd help a great deal when it comes to pk. If all you see are green dots, you won't really know if those dots are your faction-mates or not. You can even go further and change the colors of allied factions and hostile factions.

I also thought it'd be a nice change from the generic green dots we see all the time.

PS: What I reallly want to see is a bunch of blue dots (IMP) running around west owning the other non-blue dots. huehuehuehuehue.

Well during TWs, the dots have different colors based on whether you're attacking or defending. So, figured it would be sorta simple to do?

And what chu talking about unnecessary?

Giving each faction a color, the requests to do it and it isn't really necessary nor would it improve PK that much.

I have to agree with Asator, It is a cool idea, but impractical, it is most likely hard-coded, given that on every pwi server I have been on the dots are always green. I think rather than having dots changed Agatio should work on decent

Nawwww not every faction a different color. Pick a set color so you'll see your own faction mates blue and hostile factions as red instead for example. So regardless of the faction you're in, you'll only see faction members as blue dots O: It doesn't have to be different colors.

It's just like suggesting buff filter or tab targeting to the old 1.3.6 client
Such stuff are hard-coded in .exe and cannot be implemented / edited in a way that is giving new functions to already existing ones. What would only be possible is changing the colour of ALL dots, and even that would be time consuming - searching of something that you don't know where is in the hex code is like a never-ending job, something like searching for a needle in a haystack.
Differing the dot colour of faction members / others would be such new functionality and it's impossible to add it into the hex-code, so no =P
