Anxiety

Out of Reach

There's so much I yearn to say to you,
But I won't let those words fall from my lips.
No matter how much I feel I do,
I can't love you yet.
I surround myself in broken promises, and
Walk bare on their shattered glass.
Picking up the pieces isn't as hard as
Repeating a bitter past.
I don't want to be your problem;
The one you crave to right.
Let me fix my own wrongs and
You'll get out alright.
