The death is a really random (and dumb) rumour, bro ski was in a court case and signed to a contract as GM for another server (allegedly; read his last update), if anything he probably lost the case, L

And here I was waiting for my gazillion PvP points upon his return. 
But if this is the case, then who’s running the show? Last time I saw a GM was Komachi in the last week of November.

I think that like a year ago or something, a gm wrote about this but deleted the post quickly
However this seems unlikely.
