You don't want to exasperate GN Sleep
***There are two days remaining for this event.***
Long, long ago,The world was a terrible place, full of ashes and ruin.Carnage, the god of Destruction-he streaked throughout this world, wreaking havoc and cackling as he watched the inhabitants suffer. As the blood and filth built up, the people and creatures attempted to escape the terrible world. However, this had been predicted by Carnage and the world had no exit. Once a creature entered, there would be no escape. Not now, not ever. There, Death had no rule over the inhabitants. Instead, there was pain, misery, torture, and madness. The chain of slaughter would continue, for endless eons, for the inhabitants had no way to escape the wrath of Carnage. Over and over again, they would be killed, tortured, or driven to madness..but once they died, they would revive once more to continue the cycle. But one day, Carnage set upon the world a demonic flame. This flame incinerated the world, and caused the inhabitants great pain. They would be burnt alive, only to revive and die once more. It gave Carnage great satisfaction, as he watched the lowly inhabitants repeatedly burning. The smoke from the fires would rise up, high into the air, only to be quenched by wind or rain. But it slowly built up, and gradually, gradually, it passed through the wind and the rain, to reach the heavens. The great god, the Creator, saw the smoke. The world that Carnage had created had not been visible to him before, but as the smoke rose, he saw what was happening in the world. The Creator was outraged at the harm being done in the world that Carnage had created, in the cruelty, the misery, the horribleness of it all. At once, he decided to create another world, a more perfect, wonderful place for the people and creatures to live in. There, they could pursue their dreams, and find true happiness, he believed. The Creator began to make a beautiful, perfect world. Upon this world, he placed the most scenic of places-lush, green trees, beautifully crafted cities, snowy plains with frost-covered trees, and warm green valleys, where cherry blossoms would bloom. As he finished, he created an entrance to his world, from the other one-an entrance into this utterly beautiful, perfect, and even epic world. The inhabitants from the world full of chaos streamed into this new world, hoping for a bright future. And in this new world, they had one, and they could live happily and cheerfully without worry....However, Carnage, who had not been there while his world's inhabitants had left, returned, and viewed the desolate wasteland. The filth and blood, and the stench of mud and death were still there-but his wonderful, entertaining inhabitants who would repeatedly die were not there. He discovered the entrance, the glowing, magical portal to the Creator's world. It shone, with all it's brilliance, in his terrible world, and it made him feel horrible, indeed. Carnage vowed his revenge, swearing that the Creator had not defeated him yet.He traveled to the depths of hell, and the underworld, and from the deep, dark pits of Tartarus, he brought back an unholy sprite. With it, he created abominations-parasites, viruses, and diseases-that would infect his previous inhabitants, and bring ruin to their new, perfect world.Carnage released those filthy parasites, viruses and diseases-inside the perfect, beautiful world. They rapidly began to spread, infecting animals and turning them hideous monsters. The humans took shelter, in the cities, huddling among themselves and preventing the spread of the terrible infections outside of the cities-that, for some reason, would not enter the cities. They began to develop their own technologies, so that they could combat the evil of the infections and the monstrous horde that it had created. As they did so, they attracted the attention of the Creator, who saw them trying to desperately defend themselves. From the heavens, he sent down powerful weapons, and armour, for the humans to clad themselves in. He also sent down holy powers, that could be used to purify the monsters and make them recover their original forms. The Creator of the world made it so that if the people were to go on various quests, or complete missions, they would receive gracious rewards from him that would help them survive-for he did not wish for them to become reliant on him.At first, the humans happily received the gifts, and they followed his wishes by purifying the monsters. They were not infected, as the powers and the armour kept out the diseases and parasites. If they were to die, they could revive, to live again and again. However, over time, the humans became greedy and began to horde the rewards. They created groups, called "Factions", and some shared their gifts within those factions and with their friends. Others kept to themselves, and stashed away whatever they recieved.Eventually, the humans also became lazy. Although the powers were holy, and could purify the monsters, they could also destroy the monsters-the powers could kill them, or hurt them very badly. Many decided to pick up their arms, and their armour, and to slay the monsters-so that they would be gone and would not get contaminated again. Over time, they eventually stopped purifying them (except for in rare cases), and merely slayed them-even though they had found that the monsters would regenerate from their rotting remains. Many of the humans begane to eventually form different, larger groups. Each group evolved to have its own characteristics, and special traits. These groups were, at first, the Elves, the Humans, and the Untamed. Soon, two groups that had not evolved yet became the Tideborns and the Earthguards. Though there was some friendship between the newly evolved races, they were mostly at war with each other. Different types of armour were changed, so that only some of the races could wear them. They began to figure out how to forge new weapons and equipment from materials, which they could gather from slaying monsters, as well as making objects that they could use to fly-which they called flyers. They tamed many wild monsters with, at times, cruel tactics, and made the monsters carry them to their destinations. The society of this world progressed much, as the streets became paved and many more people became civilized. However, the races were not yet satisfied with their development, and each race split into two classes-so that they could do multiple things in a single race. With these new classes, the races waged war against one another, and bloody battles commenced to gain control. They forgot about the past, when they or many of the people that they knew would experience brutal pain on the world that Carnage had created.Eventually, as the wars died down and they formed alliances, the individual peoples began to be more aggressive and have bigger goals. Many aimed to be one of the most powerful people on their world, and tried their hardest to do so-mowing down others in a bloody bath, in their quest to reach the top. Now, the once perfect world has been ruined with much despair. However, there is still light at the end of the tunnel. The inhabitants have experienced hardships, and pain, and misery, but now, they may choose how they live. So, will you join them? Your future lies within yourself, and no-one else may dictate it. Think wisely, for if you choose a dark, lonely path, you may never see the light again.~END
