How to make gfx file as weapon base.

Good day designers is there anyone has know how i can make this flights model as my weapon. i already make it as gfx and pull it out on my .ecm file to make it as effects. is there any way i can make it as a base weapon so it will follow the toon movement just like a regular weapon? and how do i position it to a characters hand.
