Bonus on set

so this occured to me,well when i was wearing 3/5 HA and 2/5 LA, i have around 12 atk level and 50 def level ( buffed),after trying to wear 4/5 HA and 1/5 LA,my atk lvl stays the same,in the screen it stated + 12 atk level,so i was expecting a 24 atk lvl,:/ so is there a change in the bonus that makes this or do we need to wear a full set in order to get the bonus 4 and 5?

If i recall correctly,you don't get any bonus on 4  dragon parts.You get the 10 attack levs on full set.

If you are wearing full armor, you will always have full atk and def level bonus from only one set, no matter if you are combining different grades or types of armor (g17 and g18 or HA and LA). But you can combine 3 HA with 2 LA parts, to get additional attack speed (you will lose a bit of defense though).

That's why we aps freaks always combine HA with LA for getting 5aps! And yes, like Aga said, we do miss out a bit on our defenses. But the 5aps makes up for it perfectly.

Tried some time ago on my BM.

Dragon set gives the same bonus with
all 5 HA as if some of parts are LA.
(LA pieces are still Dragon, hehe.)

I have a bit less PDef with LA Helm
and Wrists, but slightly more MDef,
and -0.5 int more (3.33 base aps
with Claws instead of 2.86).

And I keep HA Helm and Wrists in my
bag, just in case, but didn't need it yet.
