Game running on directx 8, FPS hit

was it always running on dx8 ? I'm kinda think it was running on dx9.. probably that's the cause of heavy fps drop after patch

after the patch that came after the update my fps went back to how it was before or at least feels like

I was running at around 70 fps and now it never goes beyond 35 fps in any area, I checked with msi afterburner on screen stats and it shows dx8..

something wrong on my side ?

did you update your client to v46? should improve performance significantly
and yes, it's been running on dx8 mostly, so nothing changed in this matter

Ye i did, now i reduced distance a little bit now its better.. 
Also I'm pretty sure I read somewhere pwi did upgrade to dx9 long back in 2011 ? oh well maybe I'm wrong

well they did upgrade it apparently and they included the dx9 libraries inside the client, but it is still shown by various analytical software that the game is based on the dx8
