Ofc it's his own fault he lost his tome and didn't ask for collateral. No one's saying otherwise. However the scammer is still getting off free here. That's the point of this thread. Unless you are condoning scamming?
Guys, there are some rules on this server and if you follow those rules you won't get in trouble. If you break those rules you will have to pay the consequences. In this case DON'T BORROW YOUR ITEMS TO ANYONE if you don't want to get scammed. IF you do borrow the items, make sure that it's someone you know well, or someone that will give you something of the same value in return so you won't get tricked. You can't blame your foolishness on the GMs, they made it very clear that they can't get those items back and there's nothing more to add there.

Of course what the scammer did was bad, obviously.But that isn't the first, nor last case of 'scamming'. Players should learn how to deal with this themselves. Not just " Hi there stranger. Here take this item, I fully trust you.", because this kind of 'scamming' is going to happen way too many tmes.
No. I think they do care to a certain degree. They just don't want to take responsibility for lost item's. However that isn't the point either. I don't think they should give the guy his lost items back, it's his fault for parting with them. I do think that they should atleast show they don't tolerate scammer's and warn or better yet ban the guy and make an example out of him.
Yeah that's definately true, but for a GM to say they aren't going to do a thing. It's not very good at all. Especially when they were given proof of it. Scammer's will always exist on any game even irl, but they are punishble by the law irl, so why shouldn't they be punished in a game?

we have 0 tolerence for scammers. I have either in game or in the forum, dealt with many situation, where i think a scam is involved.Now i will be honest i dont know what are you guys refering to. Why? there is way to many posts on the forum. and sometimes the GMs lose track of it. Best way to handle this situations, is pm me in game, or in forum. not makeing a post out of it.If there is a proven of a scam, we will take care of it, and punish the person. If you give your account, or a Item willing, do not expect us to give you your item back. That is your lesson to learn to not do it. Yet we will pusnish the scammer.
Oh god, alot of these threads lately. Look, we do care about scammers, hence why we have an red chat that clearly WARNS you about them. But at the end of the day, you guys were the ones who decided to trust some one you hardly knew or hey maybe you were even friends, regardless you made the decision to trust someone with YOUR things. Maybe you guys should all really get to know someone or maybe just not let people use your things if you are worried about being scammed in game. If it was account hacking or something like that, then yes we would help and deal with it and punish them. But honestly, you guys put yourself in these situations and I know it sucks but... maybe you should rethink the actions you take for future reference.
