Slots in Account

I have seen on some servers 1.5.3 where they allow more characters to be created, there is a up and down arrow button for 2nd page and first page.

Is the reason we don't have this because the server was created before the feature for more space on the account and so since accounts were made before the transition to the newer version this means the accounts from before did not reserve 16 unqiue player IDs inside the Account ID instead of 8 or is it to stop people from abusing say Perfect Elements? 


Could we get this or because the character database is before the transition to 1.5.3 if was allowed we would be seeing weird things like wrong player IDs assigned to wrong Account Ids? or?

just having a conversation about it is all, dont know if anyone brought it up before mainly curious.

99.99% players don't need more slots.
They use dual login to level low alt using high one.
If they were on single account, it would be impossible to login them together.
Making new account is easy and fast, so more slots on single one is luxury.
For example, I have several accounts, four toons on each.
I don't need fifth toon on any of them.
Let developers use the time on something more important (as they already do).
Thank you, people, for your hard work on keeping this server up and running so well.
