i agree with brash its endgame gear for a reason i personally spent like 10k ec on all my sins r8 gear and i felt reasonably proud with the r8 stats i got.Take into account that i probably only had like 5-10 hours hours per week to get the ec i needed and when i finally got my r8 gear i was proud of it cause of all the work that i put into getting it so in the end i believe that the way r8 is set up right now is reasonable considering the stats it gives(thats my opinion on the subject i know others have different opinions so go

even if you have the best r8 stats you'll still lose to a "lesser" geared pro. As for dragon not being viable (for some classes it is and some a bit harder) . I won't name names but I've seen many players who are really good in PK wearing dragon set. That's why i said Dragon is viable too if you know what you are doing. Some of them don't even have WS/DS/Cube access and still pawn in pk. I know i'm just noob but if you Pk a lot you probably have the idea. as for the ECs wasted in refining. IMO r8 is a gamble and if you choose to go for it you better be prepared to lose tons of cash or be smart enough to know when to stop.
