I was directed to the download site and download from the link which would make me assume that is the most updated one, well after opening the patcher it says that my version is not supported, it took me 2 darn hours to download it.

That's the now deprecated New Horizons client. We're using the Eclipse client now. Your account/character, etc is intact too. Can download the client from the main page on the site.

You will need to click on of the download links from here http://epicpw.com/index.php?page=download the direct download or the torrent download. You can pick the PWI to EPW patch only if you already have 1.5.3+ Eclipse/Elysium clients of PWI. (Guide to Patching PWI Client)

Also make sure you save it or extract it in a new place so you don't confuse it with the old client because they have the same exact name on the files and such.
