ok I see alot of wizards wit magic swords instead of glaives but on pwi iheard glaive was the best mag wep  so y use mag swords??

Attack range is more acceptable (steady, not as big as a gap between lower and higher mag attack) for most wizards, I barely see any wizards in PWI using a glaive tbh myself.

Magic sword gives more magic attack, if i remember correctly, glaive goes for clerics cuz it has more channeling, sword goes for wizards and the pataka for venos because it has phys attack and others.

Glaive hits better on highend damage, but magic sword has higher lowend I believe.
Try both out, see what you prefer.

My wizzie has both.

Her sword at the moment has more channeling than the glaive, but I prefer the glaive more, so once the map crash is resolved, I am going to get that fixed once and for all...

and watch I get like attack +3 3 times >.>

well, i use sword because it looks better. plus the damage window is smaller. plus it had crit +6

wizards get Blade of Nature: Eon as R8 Weapon which is a Magic Sword.  :smiley:

Like most of the people have said already, Magic Swords are really used more cause of the amount thats given more in attack. And Glaives more for healing or buff etc, just cause of the channeling =P

My Cleric in PWI uses Magic Sword, it's more consistent.
Yes, Glaive sometimes hits higher, but sometimes also lower.
You never know what you get.

If I continued playing PWI, my Wizzy would use Wand.

I had a short stint with a wand on my wizzie too--was interesting.

Now that I think about it, I think I had...one? magic sword on my PWI wiz.  My husband bought me an OHT sword that had over 500 hp on it (HP and vit combined), and I used it for Delta since with my TT99 pataka, folks had a hard time keeping aggro off me.

R8 op, and seeing how you only get one choice when you get R8 I'd say thats the main reason you see more wizards with R8 swords (because they have no choice). and as for the non 150 wizards, the reason as to why has been listed in the posts above mine.
