This is the one i'm looking at atm.

I'll post the long ebay URL if people don't want to click that.

I want a laptop with 8gb ram 15+ inch screen and a nice processor.

Would the link i said be any good for a decent gaming laptop?

If not could you recommend a different one around the same price.

Thank's.

Btw, if you're looking for something that would just run a perfect world client, you don't need a "gaming laptop", my shitty Acer Phenom II runs this game like a beast.

But anyhow, try http://www.newegg.com/ I find a lot of good deals on there every so often.
If you're looking for a PC, its better to buy the parts and build it yourself because its about 50% cheaper that way and its not very hard to build one these days since all you gotta do is follow the instructions. Heck, even if you dont feel like doing it urself, you can still buy the parts and take it to the nearest computer repair store and tell em to build it. Trust me, its a lot lot cheaper. Also, if your budget is around 1200, i would recommend for a good graphics card with 4GB+ RAM because for new games , u'll need at least that much.

As for the OP, for laptop deals, the link you put up is perfect for a budget you currently have and looks very good for the asking price.

I'm looking for something that will run multiple clients smoothly without the fan going berserk.
At the minute my 1 yearold laptop is really loud because of my fan.
And yeah i want a gaming laptop, As i mainly play games and sometimes multiple ones at a time.

With 1200 he'll be able to get 16gb ram +, Near enough a top of the range gaming pc.

Yeah i was thinking that seems alright for the price: I5 dual core processor, 8gb ram, 500gb harddrive I've got until friday to decide which i want.

You might want to consider quad core rather than a dual; it'll help with the fan issues and the like as your computer won't be killing itself over all the processes.

The price for a quad core goes up quite a bit, And the GHz goes down quite a lot using quad so i'm not sure about that.

IIRC, i5 and i7's have a feature whereas when certain cores are not in use, your CPU will turn off the extra cores, allowing another to speed up on a specific core. But don't quote me on that.

Because not all of us are fond of overpriced garbage. You're paying for the lights and a brand name, that's about it.

To play multi-client smoothly, it is best to get delicated graphic card. The rest of the specs like I5, 8 ram or 500gb is enough to let you play with PW quite smoothly with medium setting unless you get high-end graphics like 650M series. I'm not sure about UK pricing on laptops, if it is more than your budget, you might consider AMD laptops as most of them built with decent delicated graphics.

BTW, Happy New Year everyone!
