Random Error in Windows 8

not sure if windows 8 has anything to do with the error below but we have tested the newest patch on my wifes comp and she uses Vista with no problems. So I go and change it to compatibility with win Vista SP2 and still am getting the error, I even checked run as admin. I can switch over to my vista partition and run from that but just wondering what might be the issue, I didnt think PW was picky about the OS on a system.

Are you talking about the Windows 8 Consumer Review? Considering it was just released, I'd say it could be the problem. With betas, not all the kinks are worked out yet so there could be something conflicting with your PW.

it is Win 8, I opened PW right up on my vista partition and it worked fine.

and yes I meant consumer preview :P can see the watermark right on the desktop in the screenie, lol :P

Well...that is what beta testing is for really, to find errors like that and get them worked out. I bet a large ammount of games like pw don't work with windows 8 quite yet along with alot of other applications.
