I think the patch is fine, but time will tell. As far as TWs go I don't think that you'll be at a disadvantage since the guilds you fight in TW use(d) def sets as much as you do + you still have weapon, tome and ornaments. If anything, in terms of TW this might be in your favor since your TW comp consists mainly of WBs/EPs who don't need the gear switch.  Just give it time and test it before coming to conclusions
