well PWI isnt Win XP compatible anymoar unless download and copy onto HDD that way, so might just be that?

PWI is compatible on windows XP even though they dont officially say it is anymore, what client did you use? Your client you patched from might not have all required files. Please download EPW official client and update from scratch.
