When I was in the Marines I was at Camp Pendleton (California) briefly. On a field op late one night I heard a lot of shuffling outside our CP tent. I went out to investigate and found hundreds of these tarantulas scudding about. This particular variety can jump a foot or two into the air (and they go crunch when you step on them).
Ohmahgosh all these spiders creep me out. I remember I used to have giant wolf spiders in my back yard and I'd drown them with soap water... But one day a giant mother spider came out of the hole and so did hundreds of babies. If only I had a flamethrower...
I've never been terrified by an image any more than now.And I've been on Encyclopedia Dramatica's Offended page more than once.
How can a cute spider be more terrifying than the Offended page?^^
