Problem with launcher

You need to open it with the patcher not the launcher.

You can also open it with element.exe which opens patcher by default

^ It's preferable once you update the patcher though. Otherwise it cannot be function properly if I'm not mistaken.

I have the same problem
I did launch with the Patcher
However. When I first openend and updated the game I used 'Start.bat'. Might that be the issue?

Please add the whole EpicPW folder to the antivirus excepiton list.
After that verify the game by clicking the Verify button thats in the launcher.
Reboot your PC after aswell.

Let us know if its fixed.

It didn't fix it...

But I did discover something else: I can't run ANY Perfect world client.
I also tried the officiel Perfect World International and another private server.
They don't give me this error, but when I press start, the launcher goes away and the game simply doesn't start.

And it seems I'm not only having trouble with Perfect world.
Before I downloaded Epic Perfect World I was playing 'The Saboteur'. It ran perfectly fine yesterday morning.
When I try to start it now it says "The Saboteur is unable to continue due to an error initializing your graphics hardware".
Than I tried another game: Skyrim.
Gave me this error:
"Failed to initialize renderer. Your display doesn't support the selected resolution. Please set a different resolution in Skyrim's Launcher under 'Display Settings'"
And when I tried to do that, I couldn't select a resolution at all, the dropbox was empty.
And another game: Maffia II
"No suitable graphics card or render mode found. Plkease try to install the latest graphics driver to solve the problem".

It is obvious that the problem is related to the graphic card. I have no Idea what happend yesterday (my standard browser, Iron, doesn't run anymore either) but it seems to have messed up my pc. So I'm first going to try and reinstall the driver.

yea seems like the graphic card was uninstalled for some reason o.O
make sure to have installed directX too.

Driver was up to date.
But some files got corrupted. Clean install and everything works like a charm! Imma enjoy the game peeps.
