So... Any reason for this chat filter? People bypass it anyways, and the ****'s are just plain annoying. Am i allowed to remove it? Or would that result in a mute/ban?

I honestly prefer a chat filter, but it needs to be fixed >.>. I can name 39459375947 words they missed... I mean I know words will be missed but, yeah some people understand what I'm talkng about. The ones I've talked to about this :<

The chat filter honestly IS annoying and it's always just being bypassed anyways... and I'd be a lot happier if it was gone e.e I mean what is that thing even trying there's always a way around it.

I removed the part about the modifying the client from the game rules, because I don't see the harm if someone would do it. And if editing the client would give some visible 'unfair' advantage, it still could be treated with 'abusing game glitches' etc.

It would be easy tu bypass it no matter how many words you put in it.

Main problem are words that have more meanings.
What about "blow my rooster"? Shall we censor it
and get "wind ***** " (wind blows)?

Also, how to limit it to world chat, and remove from squad
or guild chat, or PM?

For me, the filter is pain in the "S". Prevents nothing, just
clutters the game.

This is another one of those cases where the GMs would rather punish everyone instead of enforcing stricter punishments on those few idiots who spam bad words in world chat and make us all look bad. I think it's stupid, unfair, and badly handled.

I'm a grown girl, and I rather like swearing. I swear like a sailor in RL and IG but I know better than to make a public nuisance of myself. I keep myself in check. I'm a good girl. And in fact most of the players do. So why make us all resort to coming up with new and exciting ways to bypass this silly censorship? Hmm? Honestly. Drop it already.

You cant play a MMO and expect ppl to act like nuns. Yes there will be cussing, if anyone doesnt like it can use the BL. The problem is, ppl get offended without even mentioning their name in the pms/world chat etc. Funny thing is, you are all "good girls", yet, you call us names, how hypocrite. No, I didnt get offended, and I couldnt care less what you would think of us "world chat idiots", but few of this posts r so funny I couldnt help myself x)

I agree the censorship is annoying. While I dont agree that children should be able to just spam curse words, I also don't think the adults should be punished for it. The only argument I can see for keeping certain words banned is that people are offended by these words. But that is part of the "respect your fellow players" if they ask you to not speak that way to them, but I think that in WC it's fair game and if you don't like it don't read it. Plus most factions have rules as to what is allowed in chat and what isn't. If the faction rules don't say anything about cursing up a storm, then you should be able to. Though that is only my opinion...

the filter dont help,  just make worldchat more anoying if u see 10 sentenses in a row where ppl use the words they are filtered.

U serously should consult a doctor  or grow up a lot-
I suggest u guys to go outside the house and find what u searching for. A onlinegame isnt the right place for ur sexual issues or dreams beside in private messages and chats.
If u read the worlchat for a while its not hard to figure out that there are just around 10 people on this server that wc that crap on differen toons. most of em are in skype  together  or /and  in the same guild. So what the point to let  the whole server know about ur sexual problems and dreams ?

and finally..... after the mute of Slick we got one evening without any of that crap.....just one day yes but it was nice to see how many other people used the worldchat for normal coversations if it not just 10 ppl spam theyre crap for around 16 hours ( the other 8 i dunno cause i sleep from time to time a bit )

we dont talk about 'funny 'things. We talk about that the server turned out to be a porn server in wc and this because of 'the few idiots' . You didn't get offended because You was 1 of this who participated in the porn talking. (so u got muted for it, isn't it?) And really for 2 days we had a really enjoying WC, where other ppl could talk over game relatet stuff and calling for help also. PPL who never talked or never was heard in wc before.
Keep this stuff in private chat pls. We r not interested in WC over hours and days, who u want to 'analfist and this is sooo funny for You--

This is one reason the chat filter was added. I get sick and tired of logging into game on normal character, and/or GM and worldchat is blown up with childish sexual behavior. An online MMO is not the place for such talk. You all make points but THIS the the reason we have a filter.

BlackList can also be used for other things such as insults yet players try their hardest to get their arrivals banned/muted so what is the point in a blacklist when they can take a screenshot of it send it in and get the other one in trouble. (whoever sends in first has an advantage or whatever)

Kinda hysterical  in my opinion; Curse words don't make you more exciting or cooler then what YOU think you are. Calling yourself a good girl then stating you bypass something placed upon the client to stop is kinda going against your own words.

I noticed only your guild has problems with world chat, others like NH,NN,Ascend etc are not complaining. So, my question is, if I didnt mention your name in any contest on world chat (since it was for Slick not for Niume or any other member of your guild) why you felt a need to be so selfish and SS it? Other stuff is, Slicks auto reply, u got offended on that too, I saw that auto shiz way before u did and honestly I couldnt laugh more. And for your hubby, if this is only a game, why u get offended over stupid world chats ? Why dont u guys (if u want peace and quiet) just blacklist the ones who r annoying u? Or maybe u need a reason to argue with someone so u dont wanna BL and just go on with ur game. No one is saint, we all have our stuff goin on, we r all different in many ways, thats what makes it so special. Im just saying, if it bothers THEM they should use BL, as all normal players who do not like the world chat spammers do, I aint saying they MUST, but if its offending even tho their name was NOT mentioned, they should use it. It makes the game life easier :3 I tryed, it works :3 But Im guessing they feel a need to do smth evil as muting others or banning them, maybe it raises their ego a bit? I dont know xD and like I've said before, I got way worse stuff on WC, and even reading others which r not ment for me, but did any of u GMs ever got an SS from me? Exept the scamming part that I've opened a thread here for. No, u never saw me QQing over a auto reply, or a word an*l, or ANY other words like "I soooooo wanna rape my sister now" I did the "WTF" face, but u aint seein me sending an SS nor I even BOTHER to SS and then find it in the screenshots, and Im not even that kinda person to mute/ban others just cause smth bothered ME and just cuz I was too lazy to use a BL :3 again repeating, "BL makes your life much more interesting" <3 :3

Yea I understand BL can be a lot easier. People use the "GMS never do their job I have screenshots of this and that"

Sadly enough This is the case; we never see these screenshots. Which I don't understand why some people complain about the issue at hand saying they have a screenshot and then when you ask for it as proof its "oh i don't have it anymore" or "Sure I'll send it to you" "how do i send it to you"

-never hear from them again until they back on world-chat complaining about GMs :/

I personally like BL but GM can't use a BL as they have to help everyone even the ones they find to be the most annoying gamers of the server ._.
