Nirvana Goldwing Phoenix boss bug

So basicly when i enter Heavens Colliseum inside Nirvana i see small Goldwing Phoenix, Mysterious old man says "Kill him before he transforms" i kill it before he transforms like this http://prntscr.com/6aky9w in 3 shots and nothing happens. What's wrong? lol

What's so funny?  The little bird that's flapping around in there is not meant to be killed. Yes, it tells you to but it's tricking you. You're only supposed to get it to about half HP and then the big giant bird pops up and you kill THAT one. lol
