If it's that bad, the helpdesk is good in that regard.  They have banned people for harassment.  There's also the blacklist.  I think it's extended to 200 client-side, so you can put all their chars in there.  If they make 200 characters JUST to harass someone, then just remember that they are the ones who are the problem. 

Tell your friend to not quit the game because of them.  They want that, just to feed their ego that they can make someone quit a game just through teasing.  Don't give em the satisfaction.

Oh and for the record, the main offender of calling a woman a bitch are women themselves.  I don't hear it come from a guy nearly as much.

Words are going to be exchanged freely here no matter what, and its not just guys who do this (if that was the group we were discussing idk ...). 

Give people the respect you would want to receive back. If you don't give a  about respect then make sure you have the self esteem to back it up. If you don't like people's attitudes = ignore/blacklist and don't give them the time to ruin your day.
