Gray area. Technically, until he starts dropping names (impersonating a GM), nothing can be done.

However, you should've posted this in the Helpdesk for official word from a GM.

I doubt it can be bannable, but if it was a gm..it wouldn't be on alt. If it was on alt, to be like a player and see gameplay? would not say GM char, would just do it. Someone who fell for this..xD Its not a big deal.

Yeah, highly doubt a GM would risk GM status for that.

The player in question was punished accordingly.

Any ways of leading other players to wrong misjudgements will fall into the same line as saying "i'm gm "X"".
Can cleary see he lost a fight so the solution was to act all superior pretending to be a GM, still an impersonation of a GM.
