CANT Accept Faction Invites

Another player sent me a faction invite but i was unable to click on it. I could see the flashing question mark on my screen (I was in fullscreen view at the time) but I could not click on it to accept the invite. PLEASE HELP!

I think he meant, he couldn't click on the (!) to show the pop-up. It happened to me once on a newly made toon, relogging fixed it.
