This is due to exchange rates constantly updating. Unless you want agatio to check exchange rates and change the donation ratio every single hour it fluctuates, Stop being such a money grabbing goldensteim and be happy with what you're given, or go to PWI where you can spent 6k to get rrr9 and be god of server

Assuming the numbers in your post are correct, lets see how much gold each tier gets you for both euro and dollar.


29 dollars at 3.5 gold each is 101.5 gold.
29 dollars equals 21.46 euro.
This means 4.72 gold/euro. (3.5 per dollar.)

 
24 euros at 4.5 gold each is 108 gold.
24 euros equals 32.4 dollar.
This means 3.33 gold per dollar. (4.5 per euro.)

Not only are you wrong about dollars being at a disadvantage, it is in fact the opposite.

Break it down to 1 gold.

$1 = 3.5 gold = $.28/€.21 per gold


1 Euro = 4.5 gold = €.22/$.30  per gold

1 unit of gold therefore is cheaper in US$ than in Euro.

How Agatio rewards bigger donations may be more arbitrary, but the fact is that 1 unit of gold is 2 dollar cent cheaper than the same unit in €.

I get what you're saying but you base these things like the USD - EURO rates are the same everyday which it isn't. They fluctuate, at any moment one market could collapse and would change the exchange rates drastically. There needs to be a set exchange rate placed in order to have a steady donation system. You can't just change it every time there's an exchange fluctuation.

As for donations and EC, Epic has a system which is unfortunately pretty set in stone, I think any changing of the system would destroy the server because of it's size. If the player base were smaller, any drastic donation changes would have a low effect on the game-play of the server, however there are so many farmers here compared to donors that people would quit the server should these things be added (plus there's the stigma of donor hate) for donations. You saw how up in arms people got over adding the name change stone (something completely useless in terms of actual game-play), imagine if EC to $$$ was added back. Just because it worked before, doesn't mean it will work the same.

Remember guys, there is a way to get your point across without being mean.  So let's leave the insults and personal attacks out of this thread, unless we'll have to shut it down.

With that being said:

1) EPW's donation system is one that I've never seen implemented anywhere else.  You're essentially getting a bonus (perma and stacks, by the way) for donating.  You have to take into consideration that the money market is a fickle thing.  I had a currency converter on my computer for a bit and I saw as the US dollar became worth more (or less) every day, or sometimes even every few hours.  It's quite interesting actually (odd for someone who gets sick from looking at math and numbers for too long xD). 

2) What happened in the past when things were itty bitty won't happen/work now that the server is larger.  Cash=EC would piss off a lot of people who vote/farm.  There would be no point in having the boutique, because who's gonna go for gold when you can go directly for EC's?  Then it'll widen the gap between the farmers (if any are left after that) and the donators (who will follow shortly after)
