Hello.  So I really love taking pretty screenshots as well as photography in general, and I wanted to make my own screenshot contest for once after seeing many others and some really interesting entries. 

This contest won't have a specific theme because I really want to see creative stuff that isn't restricted to certain ideas.  But, I do have sort of a "half" theme.  Along with super creative ss's, I want them to be creative in the way that they make me see the game in a whole new way.  And you can take that idea however you want to take it.

But that means you can't repeat what's already been done lol.  So I'd like to not see things like a picture of you cuddling e-date at Sanctuary or a beach pic at Naught or a picture at the waterfall area in primal.  I mean, you can do screenshots there as long as you make them creative enough that I see those places in a new way.  I'm a big fan of unknown areas, though.

I also want these ss's to incorporate a lot of aspects into it; fashion, pose, environment, etc.  use props or something to make it interesting.  try to do something never done before.  it's almost like a photography contest, meaning I won't be focused on just your character, your fashion, etc.   this means you can even have just landscapes/environment/"nature (?)" as your entries (but be warned that it has to be really creative landscapes, not just ones that I've seen over and over)

Rules

- again, super creative stuff, not overly done stuff
- you can edit it and filter it however much you want.  just understand that even though you heavily edited it, doesn't mean an automatic win.  an unedited screenshot has just as much chance as an edited one.  also, I don't want borders or text or random clipart plastered on them.
- even though I have a participation reward, I will still decide whether or not the screenshot actually deserves a participation reward.  so in the end it's ultimately my decision whether or not you receive one.  keep that in mind when you post.
- the prizes and the participation reward will be based on the quality and quantity of the entries.  the prizes I have listed now are the base prizes.  if there are a lot of really good entries, I'll probably raise the prizes.  for the participation reward, if there are 7 pages of entries and none are really impressing me, I'll give a lower amount.  if there's a reasonable amount of entries and they're very interesting, I'll raise it.  so it'll definitely fluctuate, all depends.
- if there are absolutely no entries that impress me or seem creative and new to me, then I will just give 0 reward (but I will still give participation reward).  I just want to leave that warning out there now.  I really doubt this will happen and I hope it doesn't, but I'll say it anyway.

***when you post your entry, make sure you include your ingame name as well.  if you don't include your ingame name by the time the contest ends, then you obviously won't be able to win because I can't send prizes or participation rewards to you.***

I really like this area and lost the screenshots I took on my old computer before a storm fried my motherboard. :(

I'm really happy for the entry but unfortunately I won't be able to place it just because I don't want others to feel pressured that they'd have to download pwi just to be able to compete with it (and if it did win a place it would seem unfair to others)

that goes for the other entries too  :-[ :-[ there are some that I can't tell if they're from the expansion or not and I didn't realize that they could be until now.

Ty for thinking about this. It is sometimes more than just fashion, rather the whole essence of the picture.
That being said ... I just took landscape ss. I just really wanted to participate and share is all.
Some of my ss may not be so "unique" but I liked the way they ended up turning out.
Sorry there are many ....

Edit: Some were replaced w/other ss. All of these are edited, idk if just me but I hate pwi's colour saturation sometimes.

So I got a chance to take a couple shots.

since no one ever seems too. Found something a bit different. 
The lake is actually that colour, not edited.

Here is my entry, hope you like it.

For the first screenshot, I came up with a scene that tells the recent issue about Paris and some of the Middle East countries, it was taken in the Village of Oppression. The second screenshot was taken in Icespine Pass, north of the Forgotten Sanctuary and for the third, I incorporated moves in fashion weapon in order to match the background area, it was taken inside the house of Archosaur's Elder.

yes you can enter as many images as you want as long as they are all different, and only one of them will be able to win.  and sure you can edit your entry as much as you want until the contest is over.

ok this was really tough deciding, honestly.  I had to turn super picky about it even though I loved so many of them for different reasons.  thank you everyone for participating, you guys did as I'd hoped and even better and I was impressed by a lot of them.  and I hope you guys enjoyed the event and trying to view an old game in a new way

First Place:

Yoongie (3500 ec)


I had a tough time deciding between the above ss and the exorcism one.  I eventually settled on the yin yang one because I immediately saw how much effort you put into it.  You have a lot of elements put to use in the ss: the two chars, BB, and even the two fish in the river (and putting the camera underneath the ice is definitely seeing the game in a new way).  I can imagine it was a lot of work and probably a lot of waiting for the fish.  If you were able to position the fish I'm sure it'd look even better.  While your yin yang ss included a lot of elements to pull off the final product, your exorcism ss was simplistically creative.  So I guess I would technically put both of your ss's as first place.

Second Place:

Elene (2500 ec)


A beautiful picture of a hidden and forgotten place.  (And I'll admit, I'm a total sucker for light-streaming-in types of pictures.  That's one of my favorite effects in this game.)

Third Place (tie):

Faeluna (1500 ec)


I barely recognized this instance at first.
