x2 EXP

Not asking for it to be turned on or here to QQ about it. I don't know if it's on or whatever, just kind of dying of curiosity right now.

During x2 EXP and drops, my friend complained to be that the training esotericas didn't work with x2, and made the EXP worse then before, and he received less while using it during x2. I had another friend, whom I asked if the training esotercias worked with x2 EXP on, he said they didn't work at all with it. Is this true? Just kind of curious so I don't waste any next time x2 EXP is on and want to get my leveling on.

Training esoterica's unfortunately do not work with 2 x.  It is exactly the same as on the Official PWI servers.

Used to level your character more efficiently.
Gain a 50% bonus to EXP and Spirit when killing monsters.
Lasts for 1 hour.
Buff duration decreases even when logged off.
Does not combine with any other EXP and Spirit bonus except for Hyper EXP.

I am just adding this in, in case the Hyper EXP confuses some that have never played the Official PW server - this relates to the Esoterica bonus:


Boosts your efficiency of leveling.
To Activate:
Choose 'Hyper EXP' in the Public Relations menu.
Choose the desired Hyper EXP session and select 'Confirm'.
Hyper EXP has 3 Stages:
Hyper EXP - Multiply EXP/Spirit gains according to session selected.
Buffer Time - The period of normal EXP/Spirit gain.
Exhaustion - The period of reduced EXP gains (EXP/Spirit gain reduced by 90%).
Buffer Time will begin when Hyper EXP wears off.
Exhaustion will begin when Buffer Time wears off, or the player is logged off.
Hyper EXP can be combined with other EXP and Spirit gaining effects (Training Esoterica).

Ah okay, thanks for the quick response. I was pretty curious and I read that but didn't know if that meant x2 EXP or if it meant something else. Though that's kinda dorky to think, considering there's not many other EXP/Spirit bonus events. But thank you very much, Lacey ^^

what happens during 2x is that the exp becomes visually bugged, u are getting more cuz its 2x but on the logs it shows less cuz it surpasses the limit so it goes back from 0, nothing special.
for example,
i kill 1 monster for 80.000 exp when the max limit on logs is 99.999
then 2x is on i go kill the same monster, i get 160.000 but on the logs it will show only 60.000 (round numbers).

for an accurate verification you can open the C panel and check the values

Using the EXP tome helps, m not sure about the 10%exp belt(the one that you get as marriage reward)

When my wife and I first started over here from RT, she tried using an esoterica in PV (not even on 2x) and was nerfed of points - or maybe it *was* the rollover effect, I'm not sure now...  It's been 6+ months since we came to epic (just after the anniversary, I think), so trying to recall the exp gained is a bit difficult.   

I will say, as far as the MQ belts, yes, they do combine with the tomes.  I don't recall if I used a belt during the last 2x to top off my Psy, but I think so.  I now have my last 3-4 characters (on my first account) with MQ belts and account stash the belt on account two.

Not sure if this helps, but there's my couple thoughts.

The normal ways of getting Hypers was removed, there are some small loopholes around there, always are.

Well let me just tell you, if I had Hypers available on my characters that I wanna level, life would be grand. Im betting people would buy them for a lot of EC considering the price and amount of SLS's you need to get to 150 even from 149.
