How do you use the manual update file?

I am trying to update from version 2 to current version. I see a manual patch .cup file to do that but, when I click it as the instructions say, it just opens up an html page of code. When I tried to download the file it came up with an .html file as well. The manual patcher wants a .cup file and will not recognize the .html file.

I know I could just download from scratch, but I'd still probably have to manually update after waiting 2-3 days for the download to finish.

Anything other way to use the .cup manual update file from the download page here on epw.com?

Which web browser are you using?

Regardless of that answer, try this: (should work with all current/updated web browsers (I.E. IE 11, Edge (w10 exclusive), Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome) as far as I'm aware of.)
Right-click on the manual patch link, click on save as, and save that to the same directory as where Epic is located.

Open Epic, click NO/Cancel on EVERY pop up that comes out, until you're able to click on the manual button. Once you're able to do that, do so, and select the freshly downloaded cup. Hopefully, everything works for you and you have no further issues.

That is what I did before but it saves it as a .html file and not a .cup file. The manual patcher won't recognize the .html file.

Download the file
Open patcher

Press Manual
Select the .cup file you downloaded
and do like that for each version u gotta upgrade to
So it's like v2 to v20 or
v19 to v20
v20 to v21
v21 to v22
v22 to v23 and so on
