Translated UI Files + Tips 'n' Tricks

I’ve translated the UI files to make it easier for people to understand what they are editing and to make it more organized when trying to search for an image. I’ve essentially translated the whole ‘version02’ folder from Chinese into English, although I did miss some things that aren’t useful to us anyway.

Around ~800 files were translated.

While translating the files, I deleted around 120 files which weren’t used by the game/client.

This was Translated on v19.

Make sure to NOT delete the only Chinese folder that is left in ‘version02’ as it is required there, otherwise your map is going to bug out. (version02\系统\跨服帮战)

If you find any bugs or issues with this UI, please let me know. So far I personally can’t find any issues.

Changelog:

·        hidemap.xml files have been moved to the Main>Map folder to make more sense (The thing that lets you hide the minimap; they now are in a different xml file called hidemap.xml in 1.5.3).

·        Sparks moved from progress to Main>Main Area\1.5.3 and renamed appropriately.

·        Charms moved to Main\Charms

·        3 Channelling bars + Collection/Digging bar + Flyer Acceleration bar moved to Main\Channelling.

·        Time (Noon, Midnight, Dawn, Twillight) moved from Window folder to Main\Map to make more sense.

·        LeaderMark moved from Window folder to Main\Squad.

·        Moved other random Boss/Mob Target images from Main\(random chinise folder) to Main\Main Area\1.5.3 Mobs n Bosses

·        Moved "Targets' Target" from 1.5.3 Mobs n Bosses to 1.5.3.

·        Flora pet was removed from hpmpother/b as it was annoying and useless.

·        Changed version.sw to 200 in both.

Less Important:

·        Moved Faction Base Points for each 'symbol' to Main\Faction Base, instead of it being in a 1.4.6 folder.

·        Moved the blue Drop Down Menu to Main\Star Chart as it's only used by the starchart GUI.

·        Removed Voice Chat from Main Squad tab as it was never implemented into the game in the first place.

·        Deleted QuickBar folder as it wasnt even used by the client.

·        Moved Highlight from Main\Task Panel to Background Images

·        Moved Dropdown menu along with Dropdown Backgrounds to Buttons\Lists to minimilise the folder use.

·        Moved List folder to .\Buttons to minimilise the folder use.

·        Moved Class Icons to .\Class Icons n Buttons.

·        Moved Notification related Icons to Buttons\Notifications (Some of them are unused).

·        Moved all Tip related Icons to Patterns n Tips\Tips

·        Moved Background shade from Miscellaneous\Frames to .\Background Images.

·        Moved old "Team Information" to 'version01' folder.

·        Moved old "Squad Head" to 'vesion01' folder.

·        Moved old "Squad In Combat Border" to 'version01' folder.

·        Moved old Squad HP n MP bars to 'version01' folder.

·        Moved Scrollable Bar active/inactive from 'Single Buttons' folder to the 'Skill Bar' folder as every other button was in there.

·       Other miscellaneous changes.

Astrolabe xmls are related to Starchart

character_elfchat - Genie

character_elfchatzoom - Smaller version of the Genie (When only energy is visible)

hpmpxp - Main Area (hp, mp, xp, ini)

hpmpother - Player Target

hpmpotherb - Player Target without HP numbers

hpotherplayer - Your Targets’ Target (The person your target is targeting)

hpother - Mobs Target

hpotherb - Mobs Target with less info

map - minimap

hidemap - the small button that allows you to hide the minimap

teammain - Main bar of squad (above players)

teammate1 to 9 - Players inside of the squad

magicprogress1 - Skill Casting

magicprogress2 - Skill Charging (e.g. Take Aim)

magicprogress3 - Skill In Progress (e.g. Vortex)

progress2 - Flying Accelerator

Moving Map buttons around:

As most of you know, Map related buttons are hard-coded into the client in 1.5.3 and cannot be moved in the xml files. I did however think of a workaround to that; instead of moving them in the xml, you can enlarge them (width, height), just edit the tga file and add an alpha layer (empty space) with the amount of pixels you wanted to move it by.

This only works horizontally as they would start to overlap if it was done vertically. Check out my edited buttons in the UI I attached, will give you a better idea on how to do it.

I moved them to the right as its faster, moving them to the left would require you to increase the width in the very first line in map.xml file which would push everything to the left, then move everything except the buttons back to the right via the x-coord, this would essentially move the buttons to the left while everything would stay in the same place.

Xml Color-codes:

Alpha = Opacity.

PW uses R, G, B, A (Red, Green, Blue, Alpha) values to represent their colours. The alpha value doesn’t work regardless so just keep that value above 1 if you want the colour to be shown.

Crash upon joining Squad FIX
This ONLY applies to people who've already started editing this UI before I fixed this bug (before 08/Mar/2017).

Squad bug found and fixed.
UI files/links are updated with the containing fix.

Here’s a fix for it if you’ve started editing on this UI and do not want to start from the beginning:
Either go to version02\Main\Squad and copy LeaderMark.tga and paste it into ‘window’ folder in the root directory of the UI files or download >THIS< and place it into ‘window’ folder.
You still will be using the one in version02\Main\Squad to edit the actual look of it. The crash was caused by the file as it was missing from the ‘window’ folder and a different piece of code which isn’t located in the UI files was using it.

Fixed a bug where the game would crash upon joining a squad. A file was deleted as it was moved to a different folder and I haven't realized that it was being used by a different piece of code that wasn't in UI files (interfaces.pck). Fix above DL link.

Alright, I've heard some people are saying they cannot use the "Simple Elements" that were lately added into the game by Burdette.

Here are the files that are required for Simple Elements to show up in Settings, I also provided another file which updates the UI tab in Settings as Burdette also changed some things in there and the old version didn't have updated settings such as Charge-end Off and Chat Times Off.


The Update Files

These are all changes made to the EPW UI from what I can see, if something still isn't updated please let me know so I can keep this translated UI up-to-date especially as I will be using it frequently now.

I understand that not everyone understands how to update those files so I'm here to explain as I probably don't have enough time to do it for everyone separate.

First step you need a program to extract the interfaces.pck, the program can be found HERE.
*For the most easiest and simplest experience just download the first version I have made which is detailed as "v0.2 Download"*

Second step is to actually extract it so you have to put the GsPck.exe and spck.exe which you have just downloaded into the same folder as your interfaces.pck and then run the GsPck.exe (with a green icon). After that launches you go into the UI tab at the top and click "Extract" under "Interfaces".

After that is done, there will be a new folder created which is called "interfaces.pck.files" go into that one, followed by "interfaces" go into that too and you are going to see a lot of .xml files.

Now all you have to do is copy those files you have downloaded and place them into this exact folder, if it asks to replace both, say yes to that.

For the final step you go back into the GsPck.exe and do the same you have done just Compress them this time.

After that is done you are ALL done, with the updated settings. You can (but dont have to) delete the folder it created "interface.pck.files" as you won't need it anymore.


I understand to some of you this is obvious but I wanted to make it as simple as possible for those who maybe aren't as experienced.
