I'm also missing a significant amount of event gold.  I purchased 2100 gold for 30k ec from another player and distributed some to my toons.

Account with characters  SpellRage, DizzyKill  is missing  approximately 100 event gold
Account with characters  SinRage,Rezinator,JoanRage is missing the most  about 1600 event gold
Account with characters TigerRage,Deathwich, Duhsker, RoadRage, CarrieMi is missing about 147 event gold.

Please help if you can. This is a huge setback for me.

If you have not yet, go to helpdesk and leave your toons name and how much you lost. They are on now trying to fix these problems. Be patient please.
