  • I don't see anything in these folders. Help!

That's because you need to make a preset, silly.
Simply go to create said class you want, or go use a makeover scroll.
On the left side you will see the option to save presets, name it whatever you wish.
The preset will then be in the designated folder.
Note: Some people may be missing Nightshade folders, make a preset in-game as above and they will appear.

idFaceTex decides what texture is put on your character's face.
Editing this allows you to mix textures from other races, or simply quick change to the texture of a different preset for things like make-up or tattoos.
Getting a different race face texture is only possible for Tideborn and Earthguard due to older races pulling face textures from multiple sources rather than one and Nightshade simply not being compatible with any others.
For Tideborn/Earthguard you will need to change the colors of the face and body separately in order to match the other's skin.

Custom Face Textures

For now this will list face texture codes/pics until I have time for a better layout.
Most were hand-drawn from scratch while otheres(ex: joker) were edited from google images I found.

There's also a few eye shadows for females of the base 3 races, just edit idEyeHighTex
6021 | 6022 | 6023

bodyID essentially decides things like what type of animal your Venomancer is, or what tattoo your Tideborn has on the body.
Editing this will help with quick changing into a different animal preset for Untamed or maybe mixing and matching with the idFaceTex

Here is a list of presets for Untamed for those who want to keep their ini safe but want to switch animals:

Venomancer
0 dog
1 cat
2 deer
3 devil
4 fox
5 bunny

Barbarian
0 tiger
1 lion
2 wolf
3 panda

Below will show examples of mixing and matching, along with giving a quick list for those not wanting to search. Mixing and matching is really only used for the newer races since their models and textures work differently.
Any presets shown were not touched beyond the bodyID and the idFaceTex.
Click on the images for larger versions.

Basics | Eyes | Face & Body | Hair | Colors & Free ini

For these edits, you have to change the idHairModel and the idHairTex in a preset.
This allows you to use hair from any race, or gender if you use a method in the "gender" post below.
Make sure you do copy the right texture, otherwise you may end up partially bald.

Unlike other classes, Barbs can utilize all hair codes, even fashion hairstyles.
However, the actual hair textures will be relatively broken, while the accessories will remain intact.
In order to utilize hair accessories without the terrible texture, use the idHairTex: 480. With this it will only show the hair accessory.

Here is where you can find all hair codes. They are separated by gender so it's easier to look through.
I have a text list for hair fashion since they have names people will know, images are provided as well and for the rest.
Also note you can use hair texture codes as eye texture codes if you use the genderless hair method to edit the ini.

If the images are hard to read, you can always zoom in.

What is genderless hair? Well it's a way of describing when you give male hair to a female or female hair to a male.
There are two ways to do this edit, I will be covering both.

This first method is free, but requires making a brand new character. You cannot just edit it onto an existing one, if you do, you will receive customization errors.

To do this edit, you need to take a step back and go to the character folder. The one before the customization one that you've been using.
The files represent the same classes/genders as they did before.

Here you will be editing essentially the base preset that it gives you when you've never made a character of that race/gender.
You then change the hair to whatever you desire.
Keep in mind, if you don't want issues later on, it will be in your best interest to change it back to a a hairstyle of the proper gender.

For the edits to this file to register, you need to either go in-game on a different character from the new one you're making or close the game completely, then save the ini file.
After you save, either open the game back up or log off the character you logged into, and then make your new character.

For the second method, you are required to have 10 EPW Points.
You can get these points by going to the User Panel and buying them, or buying them off of someone in-game and having them gift you the points.

Once you have the points, you go to the "Character" in the User Panel and go to "Gender Change", select your desired character, and it will change their gender.
Keep in mind this does not work for Barbs or Venos because they are gender-locked classes.

Now you can log in-game and check to see if the changes were made yet.
Your character will be put in the Secret Frostcover Grounds, don't panic you can wait out the timer or just leave on your own.

Now your character might look a bit funky, due to its ini staying the same, it'll look normal once you make the switch back.
This is when you can put the desired hairstyle on your character.

All you have to do now is make the switch back, using your other 5 points.  Then you can get back on and enjoy your new hair!
Most hairs will not fit perfectly, that is the major downside because they were not meant to be used on opposite genders.
Be careful, if you take off hair fashion you will not be able to put it back on unless you gender change again.

Gender switching is useful for same-sex marriage if you also want to use it for that.

  • Colors & Free INI
For those who don't like the current ranges in colors that the character customization supplies, please refer to these sites:

One  For this site, use the very last number values in the tables.
Two  This site supplies you with a color picker and a hex value (at the top where it says #___).
-To be able to use that color in the ini files, you need to use the 3rd site to convert it.
Three  This site is where you can convert hex to decimal, or simply use the sliders there to get the decimal you want.

These colors can be used on anything you want, like the hair, eyes, or even the body.

You may post your ini edits here, but NOT the file values. Just screenshots please.
If you want to share presets for others to use, please refer to this thread.

Here are some places that also provide free inis:

https://vk.com/albums-39606644
https://vk.com/albums-73683217
https://vk.com/albums-40947517
https://vk.com/albums-48777411

To download/view the inis you need to click on a race-specific album, find one you like and the ini is usually placed in the comments.
Some will not work unless they are made using the new character method for genderless hair.

There's a lot of things that can be done that can make your characters really unique.
Don't be too afraid to get a little crazy with them. If you want anything else to be added here, please let me know.
