I think fraps is commonly used for screen recording. Of course you can't download the software for free. That would make you a pirate and you'd have to keep the authorities at bay.

Fraps, And i use Sony vegas for changing stuff in the vid

i personaly use camnista xD good qualty screen recorder simple editing tools and its free
