Can't apply absence note

I wasn't able to log on to the game on November 11 due to time constraints.  Since that time I've tried to apply an absence note and it won't stick.  I was told that the server crashed that day and everyone has that day blank on their timesheet, but my roommate's characters have that day covered.  I'd appreciate any information you have on this.  My roommate and I share accounts, and the lone toon that is mine is LEDdia.

If you've already signed in for the day, you won't be able to use Absence notes till the next day.

Today is November 14.  My absence was on November 11.  I still cannot use an absence note to fill that day.  Has something changed in the application of absence notes?
