But realistically, Runescape is still a thriving MMO if you enjoy questing and grinding plus it has nostalgia value to it. Warframe is another good MMO but it is very grind heavy

I used to love both of these games a lot. Runescape was the first mmorpg that I ever played, and I remember being addicted to it when I was young. It had the best in-game music that got stuck in your head for hours, and the quests were elaborate and fun. Back in 2006 the combat wasn't "as bad" as it seems to be now, so it was overall enjoyable. I tried playing the game again (the free classic version) and I couldn't get back into it after experiencing games such as WoW and other modernized mmorpgs.

Warframe was really fun as well for an instance based game, it was a better take on 'Invictus" I thought, and I spent a lot of hours in there having fun. I do wish it was less grindy though, because I remember farming for the Orkin suites was disgustingly hard.

Other game would be Revelation Online but it's still in closed beta
