However carefully you select a server, as soon as you enter your account name, it changes the server to one that is not online. I had re-select a working server again and it finally worked. I guess we MUST select account FIRST, BEFORE selecting server

You can choose server first but then you have to type the whole username and if you pick it from the list appearing it'll just switch back to the previously used server
