+40 Physical Attack or +10 Strength?

Mathematically speaking.

It's rumored that +100 Attack (Drakeflame Stone) will give more Physical Attack than it's +20 Strength counterpart. 

I remember on Storm people would go for the +40 stats instead of +STR as well for Physical APS DD classes.

Now; thinking about engravings. Would a +2 Attack, +40 P Attack ornament give more Physical Attack than a +2 Attack, +10 Strength?

I know many prefer the +dex/+str adds because of the PDEF/CRIT bonus's given, however I'd like to know mathematically which is better for raw damage

go ingame and do a simple restat and check it.
as for wizard, each magic adds 18 magic attack.
so 10magic= 180 magic attack.

Use full new set of cards with old durability card lorelei
Remove weap
Test on some1
Now replace lorelei with the new s card (64phy attack loss)
See difference
Now put lorelei back and replace 1 card that has 10str (S+) with a normal s card with same atk lvl but no str
U will notice dmg difference
And calculate each str point how much it dropped
And how much dmg did 64phy att drop
This way u can calculate each phy attack vs each str point
Ex: 10str less from 500dmg u hit x
500-x= y
Y= 10str
64 phy attk , from 500 to z
500-z=q
Q/64 = p( dmg of 1phy att)
Now 40x P= a number representing what u gonna compare to str in order to see

I'm asking because I literally only want to maximize my damage output; and I rolled a +2 Attack, +40 Belt. 

If +2,+40 is < +2,+10

Yes, it would give higher phy atk then 10 str point.

On psy +64 mag atk = 10 mag. What means each mag point = +6,4 mag atk

And +10 mag or +64 mag atk = ~800 more magic atk on the C menu.

If the same logic applys on phy classes, then 10 str is better than 40 phy atk.

Since u just have diff of phy attk between 40phy attk and 10str
Just do it in game its not more than 6th grade maths

Don't know about melee classes but +10 dex gives more phy att than +40 phy att (tested on EA with full DPH gear)

Let X = total damage from gears + cards + meridians ;
And Y = total multiplier from strength + mastery ; 
Then 10 strengths > 40 physical attack when:
X > 600*Y
