You're not missing anything. Plot deteriorates. Everyone stagnates. People die for less and less of a decent reason. Main plot points become obscure. In the end it was just a waste of time to bother watching, and you'll walk away angrier than at the end of Blair Witch Project...

No. But after the first 2 I had to see where he went with it... When I finished the 5th book I was so pissed off at the time wasted only to be left in an intellectual quagmire of plot holes, pointless side stories, and stalled character arcs that I threw the damn book through a window! I can never get the time wasted on that steaming pile of pig crap back, so I'm going to beat it out of him with his own laptop!
