Ban chars with names that can be used to impersonate GMs

Hi EPW team, please make chars with names that can be used to impersonate GMs and ban them. They are being used on this server to lead naive players into account hacking websites. (If such chars already exist ban them, you get what I am saying)

That is so obvious its not even funny... In any case, no matter how naive someone is, I don't think they're going to go to a website by a GM spamming in world chat with a million people shouting at you to not go.

p.s. What about ninja lol.. He made his character before ninjas but was inactive

Are you sure? There were posts on this forum about people getting hacked by it. Just because you consider yourself to be a smartass does not means others are too.

Would you then? Bowy got hacked before anyone knew so that was alright but he warned other people whenever he could.

When dealing with vote sites you should only use those that are on our panel to vote. Right now we only have 2 sites. xtremetop100 and gtop100. Any other site you see being advertised DO NOT USE THEM. And report the person advertising right away. Only use the sites Agatio says are allowed.


As for players impersonating GMs. Report them right away as well.

Ninja is fine with his account, we have talked and he knows what he can't do (which is nothing he was doing anyway).

It is impersonating a gm, not having a similar name. If the player coffee made no affiliation with Coffee then there would be no problem.

Apparently it was not a one time thing. This specific one has been spamming for about 45 minutes before I logged and was still spamming...

Many new players don't know yet where the real voting page is.
Even if they are very smart, it is possible to misguide and
jeopardize them by spamming wrong voting address like this.

We have to help our friends, faction mates, World Chat readers...

We have to tell them from time to time to stay away from
top999.16mb.com and all other similar sites.

To warn them to vote ONLY through script on main EPW page.
To tell everyone clearly where that script is.

And we have to report persistent advertisers of such fraud sites.

Seems to me that this thing requires us all, to protect EPW and players.

I tracked that guy, banned all his networks + changed password to his main account (lol) and re-send hacked stuff back
