Okay this is an old post but I havent been.able to.complete this task. I did all that has been mentioned. But the whip doesnt work! It says target the red baby and right click on the whip.. but nothing happens.

Are you sure you're standing close enough to the baby? Also check your inventory/quest log to make sure you have plenty of spots
Does it say anything on the chat when you try to click?
I can check it out ingame later if nothing fixes it till then

I legit just spent 1hour trying to get it and I couldn't get transformed into the plump cat one so I gave up

Yes however every item you get uses 1 slot in your inventory ^^
