Descent bug thread

Feel free to report anything that in your opinion does not work as it should 
Since for this patch I basically had to re-add everything from scratch, there may be some missing and non working things.

My list:
- Seamstress doesn't have dyes
- dragon might rings got 5% crit, but they should have 4%
- Tome furnace doesn't recognize the mat "Scroll of Tome"

it says the update files are corrupt

just put the patch inside the file folder

for the update files being corrupted try using a different browser (Ex. Google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer). That usually works for me

if you are encountering problems with patcher, usually rebooting the computer and patching again helps

launched from windows 8 - all weapons and genies are black, barb rings are now for venomancer hope u will do sth with it. some clothes don't work. will try to launch from win 7 from another PC

2. in the "God's giving"  there no MP charm now. (instead there twice HP charm)

Says the update is corrupt as I'm updating with the manual patch.
None of the suggestions you gave to mykdzrspld have fixed it either.

I've downloaded and installed the manual patch, but when i try to launch the game, i get a error msg saying:


                    Molebox launcher fatal error
"The Dynamic link library 'd3dx9_42.dll' could not be found"

i've tried to reboot my pc and reinstall the patch, but the problem persist.. what should i do?

The game engine has been updated to utilize DirectX 9.0c. If you encounter an error that states "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_42 was not found" you will need to update your DirectX End-User Runtime. It is located at:
