What is Origination?

It's a small beautiful map which is often neglected. But the quests in here are really amusing and funny.

How do I get to Origination?

You can talk to Illusion Stone to enter Origination.

What can I get here?

Race Titles:
1. [Earth Born] Available for Earthguard characters.
2. [Lunar Destined] Available for Human characters.
3. [A Distant Melody] Available for Elf characters.
4. [Roiling Sea] Available for Tideborn characters.
5. [Primal Scream] Available for Untamed characters.

In order to obtain these you must teleport to "Origination" (through the Illusion Stone), you will automatically receive a pop-up quest which you turn into NPC Qinglong. Talk to Qinglong again to get the "A Sacred World" quest. You will then be able to talk to your racial guide and receive the "Get Geared" quest, which will award you the title.

Are there any quests?

Yes, it's a short chain.

Talk to Qinglong (Astral Domain 373 519) and take A Dragon's Worry.

Yeah, the prices are that high. And, you lose your Aquametal if you leave the map (not if you log out though) Obviously, there's another farming method.

Gambling

Pretty much, yes. You have to gamble to farm Aquametal. Of course, you can do it the old fashioned way but at around 2 Aquametal per mob and scarcity of auto-aggro-ing mobs, it really isn't efficient or advisable.

So, head over to Ridge of Awakening (472 555) or Celestial Residence (347 557) and wait.



Dealer Autumn/Water Han: You can bet on pets here.
Little Dawn: You can exchange Aquametal for rewards here.
Chip Exchanger: If you win, you can claim your reward here.

How do I bet?

Well first of all, decide how you're gonna play it. The hardcore gambler (YOLO!) or the softcore gambler (Safe)

Hardcore Gambling

For this one, you need to go to Ridge of Awakening NPCs. Now talk to Dealer Autumn Han and bet on one (100 Aquametal each) First read the whole thing, then bet.

Safe Gambling

For this one, you need to go to Celestial Residence NPCs. Now talk to Dealer Water Han and bet on one (10 Aquametal each) First read the whole thing, then bet.

Now, that's how you bet.

Well, the Dealer announces when the race begins so, don't worry, to be honest, it doesn't even matter.



It doesn't take long to finish and the winner will be announced. (They are all regular mobs, but "Immune to damage", don't try anything funny) The whole dialogue of one race.

When you bet, you received a chip. For example:



Now, if your pet wins, you will be able to convert your chip to Aquametal at the Chip Exchanger. Hurry though, they only last for a minute or so.

The reward amount however, is based on your pet. Every pet has been given different chances of winning (just like a horse race)

Teddy Bear 1 : 2.2 (22 in safe mode, 220 in yolo mode)
Ginger Tiger 1 : 4 (40 in safe mode, 400 in yolo mode)
QDragonet 1 : 6 (60 in safe mode, 600 in yolo mode)
Fossil Dine 1 : 12 (120 in safe mode, 1200 in yolo mode)
Rogue/Bad Bear 1 : 36 (360 in safe mode, 3600 in yolo mode) (KA-CHING!)

So, obviously, Teddy Bear wins the most but believe me, don't just keep betting on him, you'll be losing money.

Now, I'd recommend you start with the safe mode and raise your Aquametal to a thousand or so before you start losing it all in the yolo mode.

I do hope there will be better rewards for Aquametal exchange. At the moment, I wouldn't want you wasting time on these quests and the track gambling either. Unless you make an alt and keep it in Origination till rewards are improved.

Gosh, I remember this place on PWI. I farmed Aquametal for days to get all the items, then when I left I realised that they poofed. So just wasted time, however I did get myself to level 8 or something like that. Anyway, good guide.

That's true. I can never find the time to actually "farm" coins. BH is a good way, but since the addition of Meridian, 5 million coins are easily spent daily. In Origination, around 3 Aquametal is given for each quest. And the entire chain gives a little over 200. 1 Aquametal = 100k coins would result in around 20 million coins for the whole chain. It's not like it's a short chain so, it will be worth it. As of now, the quest is useless.

If I'm not mistaken the mobs drop it as well. Given the density of the spawns it would be trivial to put an afk aoe & an afk pickup char to farm huge amounts with little efford though.
