Aps: Pros, Deals more dmg overall, kills faster, less effort needed.

Aps: Cons: Not as effective as dph in mass pk, you play without thinking (spam auto attack) Which can result in
You dying or what not and boring to play.

Dph: Pros, deals good damage with the right combos used, can go into front lines in mass pk has good CC
you'll pretty much control your fights more with dph, also more fun to play.

Dph: Cons, can get smoked easy if you don't have enough knowledge of dph sin, can't kill as fast as aps against certain classes in 1v1 (with good gear ofc) your abilities in sin v sin would be limited, as you would use a skill once
and have 20k hp gone in a few seconds by an aps sin.

So in the end, aps is more superior UNLESS you can learn dph fast, but once you do that you'll play like a king.
also dph can zerk crit so more damage unless your gear is insane and you have 3.33 with gof daggers on

In response to your question regarding pros and cons, I'll list class (I won't be including AA classes because I assume your not going to make any aps AA's) and then pros/cons. Quote me and add anything if you think I missed something out.

APS - Seeker (With Dual Blades)
Pros: Can do good damage.
         Higher crit.
Cons: Generally less HP and defence due to HA/LA Mix.
You can't get 5 aps with dual blades even demon sparked so its not really worth it imo.
         Can't zerk crit.
You're also subject to the assassin skill "Rib strike" and other aps reducing debuffs.
DPH - Seeker (With Longsword)
Pros: Insane damage with zerk crits.
Even more insane damage with sacrificial strike combo.
         High defence.
         More HP.
Not subject to aps reducing debuffs (well you still get debuffed but it won't affect you as much, if at all.)
         Can do long ranged combat.
Cons: Gemini slash has a really long channeling time. (unless used with blade affinity, in which case becomes instant)
         Can't think of anymore :normal-38:
APS - Assassin (With Daggers)
Pros: Almost every hit is a crit.
Can reach 5aps with R8/Dragon Mix (or just R8 with triple int bracers).
Tons of damage (out damages DPH)
The infamous demon spark + occult ice is suprisingly very effective. (despite it being frowned upon)
Cons: Can do some mediocre damage without high attack levels.
Like all other aps builds, you're subject to aps reducing debuffs which are really annoying.
DPH - Assassin (Still with daggers)
Pros: Insane zerk crit damage.
High attack levels. (95+ on average)
         Can easily hierobug.
Sage Tidal Protection allows you to take more risks.
Again, RB won't affect you as much :normal-3:
Cons: If you don't play your cards right, you're a sitting duck.
APS - Archer (With Bow)
Pros: In mass PK, you can still drop a couple randoms with high damage output from a range just auto attacking.
Purging will have a high proc %tage.
Cons: Can't use R8 attack levels bows due to loss of aps addons (unless you have hacked stats atk lvl + aps)
         Subject to RBS.
         Can't really kill HA's.
         Can't reach 5aps.
DPH - Archer (With Bow)
Pros: Heirobug so easily.
         Can two~three shot most LA's and AA's.
With the right gear and combo knowledge, you can kill most, if not all classes.
Cons: R8 Chan gear is expensive.
Attack level on R8 bow is a neccesity to do OP damage.
APS - Barbarian (With Claw/Fist)
Pros: Insane damage, out damages DPH.
         High crit with bestial onslaught.
         Can reach 5aps.
Cons: Squishier than DPH.
         Subject to RBS.
DPH - Barbarian (With Axe/Hammer)
Pros: High damage and zerk crits.
With R8 wep, great versitility when switching between gof wep, def wep and purge wep.
         Not subject to RBS.
         Relatively high HP.
Insane physical damage stats (like 68k~70k high end)
High survivabilty with SS and invoke spam.
Cons: Can't think of any :normal-44:
APS - Blademaster (With Claw/Fist)
Pros: Incredible stunlock
         High damage output
Cons: Subject to RBS.
DPH - Blademaster (With Axe/Hammer)
Pros: High spike damage with zerk crits and HF combo.
Cons: Rely mostly on zerk crits.

In conclusion, all APS can out damage DPH but a DPH can heirobug an APS'er before they get a chance to aps. IMO, I'd go with DPH because when you get RBS's, you're like "you mad bro?" and its more fun seeing zerk crits than spamming aps.  :tiger-2:
