Yes, many of us know who, and what, was Hitler. Big cloud of his poison once endangered the beauty of this planet. But he and his evil forces were defeated and future generations are recovering.

As far as I can see,  Bowydude wanted to make type of jokes that ressemble "Your moma..." with another stereotype.
Combat's coment, willingly or not (most certainly not), gave it another meaning.

Many kids don't really know how big was the evil 70 years ago. At least they don't feel it.
And that may be good. The main goal of older ones should be to protect them.
When you see them taking it so lightly you can be sure that the evil doesnt spread its shadow over them.
They are free from horror that attacked the world during Holocaust.
They aren't even stopped by fear from making jokes about it. It is just a short term vent for them.
They are safe for now and we can sleep in peace.

Here and there some new kids are trying to give some childish "importance" to themselves by screaming about "nazi party", "white power" and similar things. But it's marginal just like any other stupidity such people can do in general. There will always be some fools among us.

I agree that the best is "not feed the troll".

Ofg Ragmarok how you can compare communist whit democrates, i lived under communists and belive me they are far more worse even then nazi, and in war world 2 not nazi kill members of my family but was Stalin's comunists, but this is life, people die in war and when you tell me communist did good things i should be angry at you just because communist rape and kill in 1944 my grandfather two younger sisters? Or i should be angry because they kill my grandfather in prison in 1963 simply because he belive that every person is entitled to anopinion? its about what u said to me about its a parents or adults job to protect the children and i pointed to Animas post about how i could get can get offended by a 13 year old, i think we should learn from mistakes and not put kids in a pink buble, so they will know the painfull truth and maybe they will learn from it.

i wanted to prevent that some ppl spit on war casualties, and that back fired to Anima who lost family himself that was my worse mistake .. so maybe Anima is right let ppl them self decide whats good or wrong cuz good attentions can go bad, also im not going to post anything revolving about rascisme or war again let the kids them selves find out

I was talking about generations, no matter being parent or not.

"We" removed one of bigger evils from the world and made "their" life easier.
(Not "we", I belong somewhere between, but you understand what I wanted to say.)

Sooner or later many of "them" will learn some parts of history and know what they have to know.

P.S. (attempt to answer some other posts):
Stalinism is not Communism, just like National-Socialism is not Socialism.
Both Stalin and Hitler took the movements and twisted them for their own needs.

And they are far from being alone in those things.
Lutherans in Germany and Aglicans in England long time ago separated from Roman Catholic Church knowing that it is much more Roman Empire than Christianity.

They did it also for more than one reason, it can be discussed too, but I don't think this is the right place for that.

So I will stop now, with apologies.
