whichever way it goes all you'd need to do is drag them round to get it back to the way you have it...and it'd be easier to do it then than in a -completely- messed up wardrobe

Not really. My inventary have a lot less stuff in it than wardrobe and once i clicked sort... it took me almost 30mins to make it back. A messed up wardrobe took me 15mins to make it how I like.
