Please Select Update Server Message?

So when I go to log into the game, I get the update box...So I choose the correct server (USA) and then I click update. But then it pops up saying 'Please select a server'...when I had clearly selected it. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded the game 3 times. Now I'm getting frustrated. What do I do? I dont want to stop playing Epic! Pictures posted below of what I do.

Hello, please download the attachment, unzip and replace in main EPW directory. Then start the game from patcher and click "Verify" button.

Now I've done all this and its looking like its going to make me do it everyday. Is there anything I can do to avoid having to do that?

Please unzip this attachment in main EPW directory and start the game directly from elementclient.exe in EPW/element/ so you don't have to open the patcher anymore.

Well now I'm getting an Internal Server Error when trying to download that. So I'm sorry but I will be taking my gaming to another private server. I shouldn't have to go through all of this just to play a game.

did u add an exception on your antivirus ?
did you try selecting the EU update server ?
did you check your msconfig panel ?

programs that are unabling the connection of certain .exe files?
like AVG itself 

also msconfig can be used to uncheck sutff that people don't even know they are there, specially those "bar" fancy things that people love so much and only harm the RAM of the computer.
